The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything Movie Poster I watched this movie two Mondays ago, and I figured: Hey, why not go see it? I love Veggie Tales, which I have watched for almost my entire life. But I was wondering if they would have the Pirates’ theme song in it, especially the cover by Relient k, my favorite band. What I did get was a great movie. It begins with George, a grape who has trouble connecting with his kids, Sedgewick, a vegetable that I couldn’t figure who has a problem with laziness so he built a motorized serving machine, and Elliot, a cucumber who has a list of things that he is scared of, including wicker furniture. These three chums work at a diner-theatre as “cabin boys” while aspiring to be in the stage production. They try out for the show but fail miserably. 200 years earlier, a prince named Alexander is captured by the pirate Robert the Terrible. His sister, the princess Eloise, activates her father’s invention that searches for heroes to save her brother. Almost in a second, George, Sedgewick, and Elliot, still in their tryout costumes, are transported back to the 18th century and picked up by Eloise and her butler Willory. The quintet of veggies set out on an adventure to rescue Alexander. This movie is currently in theaters. For more info, check www.veggiepirates.com
