iPod Stuff: A New List

9 01 2008

I have come up with a new list of songs for ya’ll to examine and I recommend every single song.1. “The Last Night”-Skillet: A great song. The lead singer portrays God talking to a girl who is cutting her wrists and contemplating suicide. A great story in a song.2. “Say”-The Send: A love song, basically. It’s becoming one of my favorite songs by The Send.3. “Apologize”-OneRepublic & Timbaland: I’m not a huge Timbaland fan, but I really like his producing on this Top 5 hit.4. “I Ran (So Far Away)”-A Flock of Seagulls: This song was on Guitar Hero Encore: Rock the 80s. It’s got catchy guitar throughout and the Brits apparently got a Top 10 hit out of it in the 80s.5. “Friend Like That”-Hawk Nelson: A rock band from Canada, Hawk Nelson is releasing their new album April 1. This single is on iTunes and is short (2:4 8) but sweet.6. “Feels Like Tonight”-Daughtry: One of former American Idol Chris Daughtry’s band’s six hits off his debut album.

My Current Playlist

12 10 2007

Following in the footsteps of my dad and Billy Liggett, I shall do my own version of what I’m listening to right now.

1. “A Whisper and a Clamor”-Anberlin: I discovered this song by playing a video game, NHL 08. I enjoy the guitar riffs and the drums. “Hell is never knowing who we are now” is my favorite part.

2. “Love Addict”-Family Force 5: “Hold up, wait a minute, put a little love in it!” My youth group encouraged me to listen to this song, which also has some good guitar. Although I don’t normally enjoy screaming, it’s not to bad in this song.

3. “Kountry Gentleman”-Family Force 5: If I had a theme song, this would be it. Unfortunately, I don’t have a mullet.

4. “Alive”-P.O.D.: Another great guitar song. “I, feel so alive, for the very first time, I can’t deny you!”

5. “Misery Business”-Paramore: One of the few girl singers I like leads this guitar-driven piece.

6. “Breathe Into Me”-Red: Another song with some screaming. “Breathe your life into me, I can’t feel you, I’m faaalling, falling faster.”

7. “Face Down”-The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus: A great song with some guitar as well. (What song doesn’t have guitar?)

8. “I Need You”-Relient K: One of my favorite songs by my favorite band. Seeing them in November.

9. “Rebirthing”-Skillet: The violin fits in nicely with the elec guitar on this piece. Going to see them in concert in December.

10. “Get the Party Started”-TobyMac: A great pump-up song. Seeing him with Skillet in December.

11. “Momentum”-TobyMac: “Been on a roll for 2000 years or so! We got momentum baby!”

12. “Ignition”-TobyMac: This song was featured on an ESPN commercial for NASCAR a month ago. Fittingly.

13. “Hey There Delilah”-Plain White T’s: My favorite song, maybe. Second or third.

14. “Yesterdays”-Switchfoot: A song about reacting after a death. A nice relaxing song.

15. “An Epiphany”-The Send: A great piano song.

A combination of a couple playlists.
